Silent Night with Night Light

Any time is a good time to read, but at night is perhaps the best. What better way to drift off to sleep than with a great book? Our readers agree. Looking at reading time across the world, we see that activity peaks between 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm local time. But we also know looking at a bright screen before bed can be hard on your eyes. Cue the announcement!

Today we’re introducing Night Light, a new feature that makes night time reading more enjoyable and easier on the eyes. When turned on, Night Light gradually filters blue light from your screen, replacing it with a warm, amber light as the sun sets. Night Light automatically adapts to the amount of natural sunlight outside based on the time of day, giving you just the right temperature and brightness. The color adjustment is more comfortable on your eyes and greatly improves low-light night reading.

Night Light is rolling out to Android and iOS readers now, and turning it on is easy. To activate Night Light on your phone or tablet, update your Google Play Books app to the latest version through Google Play or the App Store. Then open a book and turn on the Night Light mode option (you’ll see a pop up in the app). After that, Night Light will always adjust to the perfect setting. We hope Night Light will help you drift off into a peaceful slumber once you finish just one more chapter.

Hướng dẫn cài đặt hình nền khoá Photos Live CÁ LIA THIA (CÁ CHỌI) của iPhone 6s lên các thiết bị đời thấp hơn chạy iOS 8, 9 đã Jailbreak.

Không có hướng dẫn cho iOS 7 trở xuống vì mình chưa từng sử dụng hệ điều hành này và cũng không có tìm hiểu. Bác nào biết rồi thì cũng đừng gạch đá em nha.

Bài hướng dẫn chi tiết nên có thể hơi dài!

Thứ nhất, bạn cần hiểu cơ chế tạo nên một tấm hình Photos Live và cách hoạt động. Photos Live được cấu thành từ 1 đoạn video ngắn khoảng 3 - 5 giây IMG_****.MOV và 1 bức hình tĩnh IMG_****.JPG, tên file giống nhau và chỉ khác phần đuôi. Nhưng không phải cứ vào iFile đổi tên 2 flie giống nhau như vậy là ta có Photos Live đâu nhé. Muốn Photos Live hoạt động yêu cầu máy bạn phải có giả lập 3D Touch và vì vậy nên các thiết bị không Jailbreak sẽ không thể chạy được Photos Live.

Tiếp theo là cách cài Photos Live làm hình nền trên các thiết bị iOS 8, 9 đã Jailbreak.

Yêu cầu:

- Cần cài đặt tweak RevealMenu hoặc Forcy để giả lập 3D Touch (Mình thì thích dùng RevealMenu hơn).

- Tweak iFile để đổi tên hoặc thêm video Photos Live vào Cuộn Camera.

- Và bằng cách nào đó để tải video Photos Live chất lượng cao nhất từ Youtube (Mình dùng tweak Youtube++ tải từ nguồn "gốc" beta.unlimapps.com)

Đối với các thiết bị chạy iOS 8 đã Jailbreak thì rất đơn giản, các bạn có thể tải tweak PhotosLive phiên bản 0.2-59 miễn phí từ nguồn Cydia.vn và tải thêm video Photos Live yêu thích theo đường link Youtube cuối bài và làm theo hướng như trong video sau đây.

Còn đối với các thiết bị chạy iOS 9 thì phức tạp hơn 1 chút (mình đang dùng iPhone 5s - iOS 9.0.2). Vì tweak PhotosLive chưa có bản cập nhật cho iOS 9 nên bạn không được cài đặt tweak này, nếu cài vô nó sẽ vô hiệu hoá toàn bộ chức năng Jailbreak.

Các bạn hãy sử dụng tweak Live Photos Enabler phiên bản 1.0.0-4 tải từ nguồn: Evilgoldfish.github.io/repo hoặc Repo.xarold.com.

Cách sử dụng tweak các bạn tự tìm hiểu nhé.

Không biết là do thiết bị của mình hay là do tweak chưa cải thiện mà khi mình cài vào máy thì chụp ảnh có hơi bị đơ một chút, nhưng điều này không quan trọng lắm bởi thường thì chụp Photos Live rất tốn dung lượng, vì vậy chỉ cần chụp được Photos Live là ta gỡ đi không cần nữa.

Tiếp theo các bạn chụp lấy một vài hình Photos Live tuỳ thích. Vậy là ta đã có Photos Live.

Bây giờ ta tải video Photos Live yêu thích từ đường link Youtube và hình tĩnh mình sẽ đăng ở cuối bài. Các bạn tải về rồi dùng iFile sao chép hoặc di chuyển video đến thư mục /var/mobile/Media/DCIM/***APPLE/ cùng thư mục của ảnh Photos Live vừa chụp lúc nãy để tiến hành đổi tên, lấy hình và video Cá Lia Thia thay vào ảnh Phostos Live lúc nãy vừa chụp.

Các bạn tiến hành đổi tên 1 file 1, xoá file hình rồi đổi tên file mới trùng với file hình vừa xoá, tiếp tục xoá file video và đổi tên file mới trùng với file video vừa xoá.

Không được xoá liền 2 file hình và video cùng một lúc vì có thể làm mất luôn hình trong Cuộn Camera.
Còn ảnh con con thumbnail hiện trong lưới ảnh trong Cuộn Camera mình không biết đổi chỗ nào, mà cái đó cũng không cần thiết.

Vậy là xong, bạn đã có Photos Live vừa ý, hãy mở Cuộn Camera ra và thưởng thức nào.

Cuối cùng là cài làm hình nền khoá, các bạn chọn Dùng làm hình nền và chọn chế độ Live Photo cài vào màn hình khoá. Cài vào màn hính chính Photos Live không hoạt động đâu nhé.

So, we’re introducing a new vertical scrolling experience for comics in landscape mode. Flip your device on its side and you can easily scroll through the story with quick vertical swipes.

What’s New on the iPhone 6S

The latest Apple product is being released, and Mac lovers have been lining up to get their hands on the iPhone 6s. So what makes this product so special? Besides the expected software updates and advanced Touch ID, faster 4G and Wi-Fi connections, a sleeker design with a rose gold finish and of course iOS9; what are some of the new features that iPhone-fanatics can look forward to? Since Bend-gate there have been speculations regarding just how durable the latest iPhone will be. Apple have addressed this and have engineered a new alloy of 7000 Series aluminium, the same used in the aerospace industry, to ensure your phone won’t bend in your pocket. But that’s not all they have to offer.

3D Touch

This is perhaps the most exciting of the new features of the iPhone 6S. This revolutionary technology combines software and hardware to bring a new dimension of functionality to using your phone. As well as the now familiar touch gestures like Tap, Swipe and Pinch, 3D Touch introduces what Apple refers to as “Peek and Pop”. Basically, with 3D Touch your phone registers how much pressure you put on your screen. If you select an icon/message/web page, it will open or Peek out; so you get an idea of what it contains. If you want to go into that web page or message you just have to press a little harder and it will “Pop” open. It also enables the user to make even shorter shortcuts to the camera, messaging and map apps from the home screen. Seeing Apples iPhone 6S in action, it appears to be a sleek transition and one which makes the phone that bit more covetable to this tech-loving writer.

Breath-taking New Camera

The camera in the iPhone 6S has 12 megapixels and the shots it takes are absolutely stunning. It’s clearer than my own vision. Apple claims that a camera this good won’t need re-touches or filters on photos – although I doubt that will stop all the Instagrammers out there. If anything, this will just step up their game. The new iPhone can also take videos four times 1080p meaning your videos will look like something from the silver screen, in the palm of your hand.

Do you take a lot of selfies? The front facing camera – for Facetiming and selfie-taking – is high definition 5 megapixels. All the better to see yourself with. The iPhone 6S also has a new function: Retina Flash, a flash three times brighter than the previous generation. This, combined with Apple’s True Tone Tech, allows you to have perfectly lit selfies no matter where you’re taking the photo. 

Live Photos

As well as having a crisp and clearer shot, the iPhone 6S also enables the user to take Live Photos, literally capturing a moment in time just before and after you take the photo, with movement and sound. Like sleeker gifs if you will. You can activate the live photos simply by selecting a photo and you can also view them on your other Apple devices, and share them around.

Computer-Like Performance

The iPhone 6s is run by a 64-bit A9 chip. This chip empowers the iPhone 6S which 70% faster CPU (than the previous iPhone) and 90% GPU; meaning you can enjoy games, apps and videos with far better results. Apple goes for far as to say that it is as immersive as playing a video-game on your desktop or game console.

And yes, you’ll even be able to make and take calls right from your watch, for when your hands are full, or your phone is elsewhere.

The first Android Wear watch with cellular support is the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE.

The watch’s three buttons offer quick access to what you use most: your contacts list, the LG Health fitness app, and back to the watch face to see the time. Its high resolution 480 x 480 P-OLED display makes it easy to read important info, no matter where you are. And the built-in heart rate monitor helps you get more out of your workouts. US customers can buy the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition from AT&T and Verizon. And international customers will be able to buy it within the coming months. Supported features for the watch may vary, so please check with your carrier. 

The next time you’re running an errand or a marathon, try leaving your phone behind. Google Play Games: capture and share the moment

As with many gamers, I enjoy watching recorded gameplay to learn how to get past difficult levels or just listen to funny commentary. Who doesn’t love a good ‘Leeroy Jenkins’ battle cry or a come from behind win? It’s a growing phenomenon. Every month, more than 144 billion minutes of gaming videos and live streams are watched on YouTube. Channels like VanossGaming and TobyGames are already part of mainstream culture, generating millions of views – numbers typical of famous Hollywood personalities and musicians.

Today, we’re launching a new feature on the Google Play Games app that lets you easily record and share with others your own best gaming moments from your favorite mobile games.

It’s simple. In the Play Games app, select any game you want to play, then tap the record button. You can capture your gameplay in 720p or 480p, and choose to add video of yourself and commentary via your device’s front facing camera and microphone. When you’re done recording, you can quickly edit and upload your video to YouTube.

So whether you are leading your clan to victory in Clash of Clans, munching amoebas in Agar.io, or building new worlds in Minecraft: Pocket Edition, it's never been easier to record your favorite gaming moments and share them with your friends.
